Privacy & Your Data
Last updated 3 September 2026
The short version: if you join the reader list, one email address is stored — yours. It is used to send you new release emails and nothing else. It is never sold, never shared, and never rented. You can leave with one click in any email, and everything held about you is deleted on request.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Piyora Press AB, a company registered in Sweden (organisationsnummer 559594-1492), which publishes books under the name Ivy Marsh.
For any question about your data, or to have it deleted, email ivy@ivymarshauthor.com.
What is collected
- Your email address, when you type it into a signup form on this site.
- The date you signed up and the fact that you ticked the consent box, which is the record of your permission.
- Whether emails were opened or links clicked, collected automatically by the email service so that people who never open anything can be removed rather than emailed forever.
No name is asked for. No payment details are handled on this site — books are bought from Amazon, under Amazon's own terms and privacy policy. No advertising trackers or analytics cookies are used on these pages.
Why it is used, and on what legal basis
Your email address is used to send new release announcements and the bonus material offered at signup. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, given by ticking the box on the form. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and withdrawing it costs nothing and requires no explanation.
Who else processes it
The reader list is stored and sent through MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Lithuania, EU), acting as data processor under contract. MailerLite does not use your address for its own purposes. No other third party receives it.
How long it is kept
Until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. If you unsubscribe, your address is retained only as a suppression record — the entry that stops you being added again by mistake — unless you ask for full erasure, in which case it is removed entirely. Subscribers who have not opened an email in two years are deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can, at any time and free of charge:
- Ask what is held about you, and receive a copy
- Have mistakes corrected
- Have your data erased
- Withdraw consent and stop all email
- Object to how your data is used, or ask that its use be restricted
- Receive your data in a portable form
Email ivy@ivymarshauthor.com and it will be handled within 30 days. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may complain to the Swedish supervisory authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
Children
These books are written for adults and the reader list is not intended for anyone under 16. If a child's address has been submitted, email the address above and it will be deleted.
Changes to this page
If how your data is handled changes in any material way, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
